Lead Teacher - Infants ECE

A New Leaf's Phoenix Day is currently seeking a Lead Teacher - Infants ECE to join our amazing team!

SCHEDULE: FT, Monday – Friday

Pay: $12-14 per hour (DOE)

The core functions of our teaching staff include:

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment in which education and personal growth flourish.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans appropriate for each child's cognitive and social development aligned with creative curriculum and Arizona Department of Education Early Learning Standards.
  • Use formal assessment tools to monitor and record each child's progress
  • Communicate with parents daily to update them on their child's successes and challenges.
  • Ensure personal hygiene needs of the children are met
  • Maintain and monitor daily administrative records such as parent sign in sheets, meal counts, emergency contact records and any other information as required by DHS Licensing or other accrediting organization.
  • Compliance with all Arizona Department of Health Services licensing standards and company guidelines. 


  • Minimum of CDA (Child Development Associate) or AA in Early Childhood Education is required.
  • 2 years’ experience working with children 6 weeks to 5 years of age
  • Proven ability to assume a leadership role, perform job responsibilities, and develop teamwork.
  • Demonstrate and provide strong communications skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to work with families, young children and infants.
  • Desire for ongoing training and development.

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Have a Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to pass various background checks in order to obtain one.
  • TB testing is required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Trained in AZ Early Learning Standards and Infant-Toddler Developmental Guidelines preferred.
