Parent Aide Case Manager - FT

A New Leaf's Parent Aide Program provides a range of support services, instructions and assistance to parents and caregivers of children involved with Child Protective Services (CPS) in order to improve the adults’ skills and ability to fulfill parenting roles and responsibilities.

The Parent Aide Program Case Managers work a flexible schedule (weekdays and weekends) to meet client needs

Pay rate Full Time is: $13/hr. 

Major areas of responsibility (including but not limited to): 

  • Implement and complete Assessment Reports, specifying tasks and objectives to be completed within identified timelines.
  • Work cooperatively with Child Protective Services in developing assessments, plans and required periodic reports and attend meetings with CPS staff.
  • Collaborate with other community agencies working with the family and participate in staffing when invited to do so.
  • Visit parents as identified in the plan. Provide parent support to include parenting skills development, household management skills, problem solving/conflict resolution, learning and accessing community resources.  Teach, role model and provide training sessions to parents.
  • Provide safe transportation to parents and children as specified and authorized in the plan.
  • Provide supervision for authorized Supervised Visitation. Assure safety of all parties involved.
  • Monitor all aspects of visits. Intervene and terminate if the visit becomes harmful to the child.
  • Participate in required client care supervision on a regular basis as required by state law.


  • Associates Degree required
  • Experience working with multi-problem families and cultural diversity, substance abuse, effects of child abuse and neglect on child development, sexual abuse, mediation and other interventions
  • Needs knowledge and understanding of family dynamics and family centered services
  • Must have proficiency with personal computers and applicable software programs.
  • Have the skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse ethnic and cultural groups, coupled with maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Demonstrate and provide strong communications skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Committed to teamwork and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, clean 39-month motor vehicle record and current auto liability insurance.
  • Have a Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to pass various background checks in order to obtain one

Hourly Pay: $13.00
