Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor - West Valley

A New Leaf's West Valley Community Behavioral Health Service (WVCBHS) in Glendale offers community-based behavioral health services for children, youth, and their families. Counseling, case management, medication management, and support services are provided to children, youth, and their families throughout Maricopa County. 

West Valley Community Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full time Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with some evening availability.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 

  • Directly responsible to the Site Director and/or Clinical Director for administrative and clinical issues regarding admission, discharge and practice management issues.
  • Conduct a minimum of 1 hour of clinical supervision for every 40 hours of work for all BHT staff and a minimum of one group supervision for all team members.
  • Participate in Child and Family Team meetings as needed. As appropriate, schedule, facilitate, participate in and update Adult Clinical Teams and/or Child and Family Team.
  • Develop, implement and maintain in-service training of clinical staff on a consistent basis.
  • Conduct periodic observations of intakes, CFT’s, groups, etc.
  • Assist with the interviewing/hiring process of new staff. Train and supervise new staff as needed. Provide timely orientation to new hires.
  • Document (verbal/written) and submit significant and routine paperwork.

Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in behavioral health related field and Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Associate level license required, Independent level license preferred (LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT).
  • Have three (3) years experience in behavioral health services and experience in management and managed care environment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, current auto liability insurance and a clean 39 month motor vehicle record.
  • Have a Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to pass various background checks in order to receive one.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of standard office equipment, be proficient with personal computers and applicable software programs. Effectively communicate (verbal and written).

Due to state licensing requirements, applicants must be a minimum 21 years of age.
